Pizza and Oysters at Hog & Hominy

It was time for one last dinner in Memphis, so I went to Hog & Hominy. I didn’t make a reservation and walked in hoping to grab a seat at the bar. The restaurant was packed and the bar was full. I stood around for about 15 minutes before a seat opened up.

The menu offers Southern-inspired Italian dishes and creative cocktails.

I was tempted to order wine, but went with a nice whiskey cocktail instead.

I started off with the Wood Fired Oysters.

Snacks

The tasty oysters were topped with parmesan, calabrian chile, butter, and lemon.

All the pizzas sounded good. I decided to try their popular Red Eye pizza.

It had sugo, pork belly, fontina cheese, celery leaf, and a soft egg in the center.

I ended the meal with the delicious Peanut Butter Pie.

Dinner was great and the night was still young. I took an Uber back to my Beale Street hotel then stopped by a couple bars before calling it a night.
