Lunch at Lotus of Siam

Another crazy night means another much-needed meal! Some restaurants in Las Vegas have been around for a while and they’ve become a must-try when it comes to the Vegas dining scene. Well I finally made it to the famous Lotus of Siam for a Thai lunch! It’s the other location on Flamingo Road since the original one is being remodeled.

The popular Thai restaurant offers northern Thai fare and family recipes. I took a seat at the bar and looked over the menu. I had to get a Thai Iced Tea.

All the dishes sounded delicious. I began with an appetizer – the Stuffed Chicken Wings. Yes, please! The crispy wings were stuffed with ground pork then deep-fried and served with a homemade sweet and sour sauce. They were so good.

I also tried the Soft Shell Crab Salad. The bed of sliced cabbage was topped with vegetables, peanuts, lime juice, fresh chili, and a deep-fried soft shell crab. A fresh tangy crispy dish.

They’re known for their Khao Soi which are egg noodles in a curry-based sauce. Unfortunately I didn’t order it and went with another favorite of mine, the Beef Pad See Ew – wide rice noodles with egg, Chinese broccoli, and black soy sauce. It was okay. I’ll be sure to try the Khao Soi next time!

I’m so glad I finally ate at Lotus of Siam. The food was tasty and there were so many other dishes I wanted to try. It’s a place where you can come back over and over again to try something new. I took an Uber back to the hotel and tested my luck with some slots and blackjack. When in Vegas!
