Bavette’s Steakhouse Las Vegas

Earlier in the day I enjoyed a Thai lunch at a well-known spot and later that night a serious craving for red meat took over me, so I decided to go to Bavette’s Steakhouse & Bar inside Park MGM for dinner. I actually came very close to making a reservation here while I was in Chicago, but ended up elsewhere. Opening in October 2017, I now had a chance to try the Vegas location.

One of my favorite meals is a glass of wine with a good steak. I was seated at a small table facing the bar. It was dark and cozy. I ordered a glass of red wine and some bread and butter was served soon after.

I decided to try the Dry Aged Bone In Ribeye, medium-rare please. The 22oz ribeye was dry aged for 42 days simply made with steak salt and served with béarnaise. I also added wild mushrooms. It was a solid steak, but I expected a bit more flavor and tenderness with the dry aging.

For a side, I couldn’t resist the Truffle Mac & Cheese made with white cheddar and baked until bubbly hot. It was cheesy and delicious, and the truffle flavor wasn’t overpowering.

My steak dinner at Bavette’s was really good. Service was fine. I was so tempted to try their famous Chocolate Cream Pie, but didn’t get around to it. My serve didn’t bother asking about dessert anyway. Afterwards, I went to The Cosmopolitan to enjoy a few drinks at Vesper for a bit.

I only planned on staying for a couple of drinks then heading to Marquee to see Dash Berlin. Well I ended up meeting a couple cool people and chatting for hours. I didn’t leave the bar until after 6am!

It’s always nice to meet new people and make new friends. The time flew by. The sun was creeping and I (barely) walked back to my hotel for some much-needed shuteye.
