Maximilians and the Pergamon Museum

It was my final day in Berlin! My previous day was nonstop and pretty damn crazy, so I took it easy the following afternoon. I started off with a hearty lunch at Maximilians where you’ll find Bavarian specialities and ambiance. I had the roast pork served with bread dumplings and sauerkraut. It was huge! I only manged to eat a quarter of it.

After lunch, I walked to Berlin’s Museum Island to check out the Pergamon Museum.

The archeological museum features large architectural pieces, Islamic art, ancient remains, and Classical and Middle Eastern sculptures, pottery, and jewelry.

I also decided to check out a couple monuments and memorials I didn’t get a chance to see during my city tour due to areas being closed off like the Brandenburg Gate and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.

I then made my way back to the hotel to relax for a bit before dinner. I was looking forward to one final meal in Berlin and maybe a little techno to end the night.
