I was super excited to make it down to Miami for Ultra Music Festival, Winter Music Conference (WMC) and Miami Music Week (MMW). There was a whole lot going on that week! The biggest DJs, producers, and pretty much everybody in the music industry come down for a special week full of sunny weather, dance music, pool parties, beach parties, and nonstop partying. What a great way to spend my first time there! I was so ready!
Viceroy Miami
From the airport, I headed straight to my lovely hotel. I decided to stay in Brickell because it was close to Bayfront Park, the site of Ultra. I heard it was pretty much impossible to get a cab back to Miami beach once the festival was over. Although I was further from South Beach and the pool parties, it was so nice to be able to walk back to the hotel each day.

I stayed at the Viceroy Miami. It was not my first choice. There was one other hotel located near Bayfront (for cheaper), but it was fully booked. Not the end of the world. Seriously, if you plan to go to Miami Music Week, book your hotel as soon as possible!

The hotel was really nice. Super chic and trendy. My room had a comfy king size bed, kitchenette, gourmet minibar, balcony, and floor-to-ceiling marble bathroom with double sinks, a large tub and glass shower.
The open wall looking straight into the bathroom gave you no privacy, but I was by myself anyway.
Oh and if you plan on making some cocktails in the room, they bring you the ice. That marble ice bucket was really heavy 😉

The hotel was walking distance to Mary Brickell Village where you’ll find over 50 restaurants, bars, stores, and services.
Since it was nearby, I headed over there for an early dinner. I went to the Burger & Beer Joint – a relaxed pub serving gourmet burgers and alcohol-spiked milkshakes. They even suggest a beer for each of their burgers.

I ordered a beer and the Mustang Sally burger – a 1/2 lb. premium beef blend patty with thick sliced applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, and bourbon BBQ sauce on sesame bun served with a side of skinny fries. It was good. The adult shakes were very tempting, but I was plenty full.
