So one of the dishes I was told that I had to try was the Indonesian Rijsttafel. My sister told me about it and said it was a dining experience not to be missed. Rijsttafel is a Dutch word that literally translates to “rice table”. It’s an elaborate meal that consists of various small plates of sides, vegetables, and meats. It is a meal fit for at least 2 people. I was by myself and stopped by a restaurant and asked if they can do it for one person for lunch. They happily obliged and I told them I would definitely be back.
First, I made my way to Anne Frank’s House. This museum is dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist, Anne Frank.
The line to purchase tickets extended all the way around the block. I’m glad I purchased my ticket online in advanced. You can just walk right inside if you already have a ticket in hand. This was an amazing and touching experience. This should not be missed if you’re visiting Amsterdam.
I made my way back to Sampurna for my rijsttafel lunch.
