After drinks and a sanck at Georges at the Cove, we walked along the main street for a bit. I was in the mood for something sweet and remembered the nice recommendation from a couple fellow sushi addicts sitting next to us at dinner the previous night. They said if you’re in La Jolla, check out Bobboi Natural Gelato for amazing gelato and sorbet. Thanks!
This charming gelato shop only uses organic fruit, nuts, and sugar for their delightful treats. The daily specials are listed outside near the door.
All the flavors sounded so good. The girls behind the counter were so sweet and were more than happy to let you sample any flavors you wanted to try.
After a few samples, we finally decided on the flavors we wanted to order.
My friend went with the Dark Chocolate Sorbet, Mediterraneo, and some Meyer Lemon and Mint sorbet. The Mediterraneo is made with hazelnut, almond, and pistachio. I had the Charcoal Vanilla and Bacio.
The charcoal vanilla is grey due to the activated carbon. It was super creamy. I love vanilla and this was very tasty. The Bacio is made with chocolate and yummy hazelnut. If you like Nutella, you’ll love this.
We probably should have gone with the large cups. Our delicious treats were gone before we knew it. We had to get another round! We also had a small cup each of the refreshing Meyer Lemon and Mint sorbet. So good!
Be sure to stop by Bobboi if you’re in La Jolla. It’s located on the corner of Girard Ave. It’s a lovely spot with friendly servers and delicious gelato and sorbet.
