After tacos and burritos, it was time to head to La Jolla! June Gloom was in full effect, but it was still a lovely day. It was recommended to start at the Children’s Pool, then walk along the coast and head north towards the cove.

We walked along Coast Boulevard and headed towards the main cove.
You can get up close and personal with the seals at this beach. This is also a good area for snorkeling.

Snorkeling
After walking along the coast a bit, we headed to the rooftop terrace at George’s at the Cove for a couple drinks and a snack.

Even with the overcast, it was pretty warm and we ordered a couple much needed cold cocktails – a margarita and the La Jolla Breeze made with Hendrick’s gin, cucumber, and lime. Refreshing!

Cheers
We also tried the Stuffed Dates. The sweet dates are wrapped with bacon and filled with savory goat cheese and almonds. It’s served with a piquillo-tomato sauce.
