There are plenty of excursions and day trips to enjoy from Phuket. We decided to spend a night at Koh Phi Phi. We caught the ferry and headed to Ao Tosai Pier, the main pier at Koh Phi Phi. It took around 2 hours from Rassada Pier in Phuket.
The Phi Phi Islands is an island group located east of Phuket’s main island.
The town was really cute and we liked the young and lively vibe. I booked a room at Dee Dee Beach House. It’s located towards the end of Ao Dalam Beach. The accommodation was a bargain and it’s located right on the beach.
There are many people on the beaches that are available if you’re interested in riding a long tail boat, want to kayak, or drink lots of booze on a party boat.
There were plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy throughout town.
Later at night, we not only heard loud music, but felt the bass from our room! So yea, Koh Phi Phi has lots of young backpackers and they all gather on the beaches at night to party. So keep that in mind if you want to book anything near the beach. We were only there for the night and didn’t really mind. My sister managed to fall asleep, but it took me quite awhile. I had to check out the party next door! It went on until 2am.
The following day, we did lots of relaxing and laying out on Ao Dalam beach during the day before catching the ferry back to Phuket. The beach is small and lined with several bars where you can grab a bite to eat or enjoy drinks and smoothies while you relax.
It was nice to see Koh Phi Phi for a bit. It’s very different from Phuket. There are lots of young people and backpackers. The town is lined with small shops, restaurants, and bars. The vibe is very laidback and everybody just wants to have a good time!
