I got out of work early one weekday afternoon and thought it was a great opportunity to try a different spot for lunch. I love Thai food and I haven’t had a chance to try Wyckoff Thai since it opened back in October of 2015. Located on Franklin Ave., they offer lunch specials Monday thru Friday until 3pm. Perfect.

Lunch at Wyckoff Thai
I pretty much always order Thai Iced Tea whenever I dine at a Thai restaurant. I can’t help it. It’s so tasty and refreshing.

Thai Iced Teas
The lunch specials come with your choice of soup or salad. The soup changes from time to time. We opted for the salad. I really enjoyed that peanut dressing – yum.

Salads
The Pad Ginger is made with fresh ginger, onions, scallions, mushrooms, bell peppers, baby corn, snow peas in light brown sauce. It’s all sauteed with your choice of protein. In this case, it was mixed seafood which cost a few more dollars.

I couldn’t resist trying their Pad Thai. I ordered it with chicken.

The Massaman Curry was delicious. It had the perfect balance of the mild massaman curry paste and creamy coconut milk with large chunks of potatoes and tofu.

I make sure to request Thai chili powder to sprinkle over my noodles. This stuff is super spicy, a little bit goes a long way. Ever since leaving Thailand, I gotta have it!

Thai Chili Powder
The Pad Thai rice noodles were a bit thinner and slightly sweeter than other places. It actually reminded me of a favorite version we enjoyed back in Bangkok.

Some Spice
We enjoyed our lunch at Wyckoff Thai. The restaurant is small, but nice and bright. The service was good. The food was tasty and the lunch specials were reasonable. I can add this place to my list of go-to restaurants when I’m craving Thai food.
