So it’s been a bit since my last post! I took some time off and went back to Asia for my big trip this year. On Halloween I headed to Hong Kong for 5 days for the first part of my Asia Trip. I’ve never been and wasn’t sure what to expect, but I couldn’t wait to check it out!

Hurry up, luggage!
It was a 16-hour direct flight from Newark. I arrived in Hong Kong around 9pm Wednesday night. After grabbing my luggage, I got a taxi and headed to my hotel. It was a Fast & Furious taxi ride- so fast with so many sharp turns. They are some skilled drivers!

I booked all my hotel rooms though Agoda once again. I stayed at the Harbour Bay Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. The room was small, but clean. The price was reasonable for 5 days and it was located near everything.

By the time I checked in, it was past 10pm. I wanted to grab a bite to eat before calling it a night.

Fresh Fruit Juice
All the street vendors looked so good. Prices weren’t bad either.

Egg Waffles
After wandering around for a bit, I decided to have a quick dinner at Macau Restaurant.

Menu
I sat myself down in a small booth. I ordered a Lemon Water thinking it would just be water with lemon. The sweetness took me by surprise with the first sip. Wasn’t expecting it to be sweet, but it was good.

Lemon Water
I ordered the XO Sauce Noodles with Beef. It was a hefty portion and the noodles were tasty.

The picture of the Fried Squid on the menu looked good too, so I got it. It was hot, crispy, and served with a wasabi dipping sauce. Not bad.

No complaints about my first meal in Hong Kong. The city was still buzzing as midnight approached and I walked around for a bit before going back to the hotel. Couldn’t wait to rest up and get ready for the next day!
