It was (baseball) game day. I bought a ticket a few hours before the game and stopped by the Detroit Beer Company for some food and brews.
As soon as I walked in, you can feel the humidity and steam in the air. The brewhouse is located on the first floor.
There were only a few people at the bar so I took a seat. They offer 7-9 house brews daily.
I had the Chicken Quesadilla which was pretty damn good. The tortilla was stuffed with Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese and Cajun-seasoned grilled chicken. Served with housemade salsa and sour cream.
It began to rain, so the game was gonna be delayed for a bit. Might as well order another one!
The rain stopped, the clouds cleared, and the sun came out so I made my to the ballpark.
It turned into a beautiful day for a ball game. Comerica Park was a short walk from the pub and I was ready to watch the Detroit Tigers play the Boston Red Sox. I got to check off another ballpark from the list!
There are a total of nine tiger statues in and around Comerica Park, including other statues throughout the park and two on top of the scoreboard.
I had a great time at the open-air ballpark overlooking downtown Detroit. I also met a super nice family sitting behind me.
