After a wonderful dinner at Parc, I had the whole night ahead of me. I went to Sugar House for a few cocktails. Located in the historic Corktown neighborhood, it’s the bar that introduced Detroit to craft cocktails.
Considered one of the Best Cocktail Bars in America, the menu features the classics, original house cocktails, and a rotating seasonal menu as well as an extensive spirits list of single barrel bourbons and American whiskies. I was a bit overwhelmed since the menu was over 20 pages long.
The highly skilled mixologists expertly create each drink. They can customize them as well. I opted to try a few of their house specialties.
They also serve small plates and bar bites. I had some lightly salted popcorn with truffle oil to snack on while enjoying my drinks.
Every cocktail I had was fabulous.
I met a couple locals who were big fans of the place. They were on a mission to try every cocktail on the menu. Nice!
I seriously wanted to try several more cocktails, but I could only drink so much. Next time!
What a great night! The Sugar House was one of the best bars I’ve ever been to. Top notch service, amazing drinks, and an intimate relaxing vibe. I would make sure to stop by here any time I’m in Detroit.
