It was my last day in Nashville and I couldn’t leave without stopping by Biscuit Love for breakfast. The bright Southern eatery is known for their breakfast and lunch creations made entirely from scratch.
What started out as an Airstream food truck, now had three locations in Tennessee.
There was a line out the door, but since I was dining solo I skipped the line and took a seat at the counter.
The cocktails sounded good, but I think I had enough from the previous night. I just ordered some of their fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Their most popular dish has to be the Bonuts. These fried balls of biscuit dough are coated with sugar and served over blueberry compote and topped with lemon mascarpone.
The bonuts were yummy, but I also wanted to try one of their biscuit sandwiches. I met a lovely couple sitting next to me and shared some bonuts with them.
I also ordered the Princess – a buttermilk biscuit sandwich with a Nashville-style spicy “hot chicken” thigh, mustard, pickles, and honey.
It was huge and delicious. The biscuit was on the dense side. The chicken was crispy and had a nice kick. The honey gave it some needed sweetness.
Breakfast was great and I still had a few more hours before I needed to head to the airport. I visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and walked around Broadway for the Smashville celebrations. Thank you, Nashville!
