Hey all! So I just got back from a wonderful two-week Euro trip! It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Europe and I was excited to explore and taste five new cities in four new countries.
My first stop was Lisbon where I had a 24-hour stopover on my way to Berlin. A really cool local picked me up from the airport and we rode a Vespa around the entire city! I also enjoyed some great seafood, a modern Portuguese Michelin dinner, a buzzing food hall, the deliciously famous pastéis de nata, and some bar hopping to listen to Fado and drink local wine.
After Lisbon, I went to Berlin to learn about its fascinating history, eat some classic dishes with a local, watch a crazy fun pro handball game, drink lots of craft beer, dine at Michelin Two-Star Restaurant Tim Raue, and experience the wild nightlife!
After Berlin, it was time to head to beautiful Prague! I relaxed at a Beer Spa, tried classic and modern Czech cuisine, walked around lovely Old Town, ate an incredible burger, and enjoyed cocktails at a few really cool and unique bars!
My final stop was Sweden! First I went to Gothenburg for the NHL Global Series to watch the Devils’ season opener! I also enjoyed some tasty eats, a giant cinnamon bun, a Michelin-starred modern Swedish tasting menu, and fabulous seafood at the fish market.
My final city was Stockholm where I stayed in a charming nautical-themed hotel located in the alleys of Gamla Stan. I stopped by The Royal Palace, Vasa Museum, and ABBA Museum of course. I also enjoyed some great food, drinks, and live jazz!
That’s my recap of my “EuroTrip2018”! I still have lots of catching up to do with my other trips and tasty eats! Check back for new posts! 🙂
