My first trip to California may have been years ago and I went back a couple times, but I never found the chance to try In-N-Out until I went to San Jose! After the hockey game, I knew I had to check out the major West Coast fast food chain before heading home.
There was a small line when I entered, but it moved fairly quick. This was it, I finally made it to In-N-Out!
What should I get? What is Animal Style? I decided to order the Double-Double and Fries both Animal Style where the burger had mustard cooked beef patties and added pickles, grilled onions, and extra spread.
The food took a few minutes and it was hot and fresh. It looked great!
The hand-cut fries are cooked in 100% sunflower oil and were topped with cheese sauce, grilled onions, and spread. I’m liking this Animal Style thing! They could have been a bit more well done though.
The burger was good and super filling. The value of a meal like this was excellent. Compared to Shake Shack, the value is better, but I think Shake Shack’s beef is a bit tastier.
I’m glad I finally tried In-N-Out. The quality was really good and I enjoyed the simple old-fashioned style of the food. I had one more day in San Jose and looked forward to trying a couple other places.
