It was a dream come true to see and tour the house from A Christmas Story! I’m a big fan of the beloved holiday movie and I’d like to thank my mom for that. When I was younger, we would watch it all the time and the 24-hour marathon will be playing on at least one television once Christmas Eve begins.
Located in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, I knew A Christmas Story House was a must when I was there. The house has been restored to its original movie splendor and is open year round to the public for tours and even overnight stays.
Guided tours run every hour starting at 10:15 am. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $9 for children, and $10.50 for seniors. We met our guide inside the gift shop and learned lots of interesting movie facts and stories while exploring the house.
The museum is across the street from the house and features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as a collection of rare behind-the-scenes photos.
It was so incredibly cool to check out A Christmas Story House! It’s a must-see for any type of fan of the classic holiday movie.
After a great tour of the house and museum, it was time for some lunch and breweries!
