I had a great time at a beautiful cocktail bar tucked inside old bank vaults the previous night, and the next day I stopped by The Plum for Saturday brunch. Located in the Lorain Avenue Historical District in Ohio City, the casual eatery serves elevated American fare and tasty cocktails.
I took a seat at the bar. The restaurant was bright, the servers were nice, and the vibe was laidback. To drink, I went with the Frosé – a cool and refreshing cocktail made with frozen Begonia Rosada sangria, lemon, and simple syrup. To eat, I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
The chicken sandwich was a good size. It had crispy buttermilk fried chicken, American cheese, pickles, lettuce, and plum pepper aioli. It came with a side of slaw and hot sauce. Super filling and good.
It took some time, but I eventually ate the whole thing. Before heading out, I wanted to have one more cocktail. I had the Bodega Mimosa made with Orangina, Watershed vodka, and Cidergeist Bubbles. Cheers!
My Saturday brunch at The Plum was enjoyable. The food and cocktails were good and I liked the trendy hipster vibe.
Afterwards I went to the Cleveland Museum of Art because I always try to check out at least one museum wherever I go. Located in the Wade Park District in the University Circle neighborhood, the museum houses a diverse collection of more than 45,000 works of art from around the world. Admission is free to the public.
After some lovely art, I went to Hansa Brewery for a bit and enjoyed a craft beer flight and potato pancakes.
