It was my third day in Pittsburgh and the weekend has arrived.
I walked over to Meat & Potatoes for Saturday brunch. The city’s first gastropub features unique takes on classic American fare and handcrafted libations.
I took a seat at the large marble-top bar and ordered a cocktail. Boozy brunches are the best! The Bohemian had Beefeater gin, aperol. St. Germain, grapefruit, and Peychaud’s bitters.
The brunch offerings sounds good and I couldn’t decide between a few dishes. I opted for the Brisket Hash made with pieces of beef brisket, potatoes, cipollini onions, horseradish hollandaise, poached eggs, truffle oil, and herbs. It wasn’t what I was expecting when it came out, but it was good and hearty.
For another drink, I went with the Brunch Punch made with red wine.
Brunch at Meat & Potatoes was satisfying. The cocktails were great and the ambiance was lively. It was time to head over to one of the city’s most popular attractions.
