I recently returned from a 4-day trip in St. Louis, Missouri! It was my first stop before heading to Chicago. I mainly went for a hockey game, but of course I had to check out the restaurants, bars, and attractions!
I stayed downtown in a hotel that was formerly a bank. My first meal ended up being at The Shaved Duck for some beer, burnt ends, and duck confit flatbread.
I had an incredible vegetable-focused dinner at Vicia where I was seated at a table near the open kitchen and loved the Chef’s Tasting Menu and Wine Pairing.
There were great cocktails and cool bars. I even ended up hanging out with a few awesome locals.
I had a yummy Sunday Brunch at Sardella before checking out the Saint Louis Art Museum.
I had a fabulous dinner at Pastaria where I had the Papardelle, Oyster Mushroom Pizza, and Birthday Cake. Yum!
I ate breakfast at the Southwest Diner which put their own twist on an iconic local dish, the Slinger. I enjoyed some great local craft beer at 4 Hand Brewing Company.
I had to stop by Pappy’s Smokehouse for their famous ribs! What was right next door? A hockey-themed brewery! Nice!
I also had to head to The Hill for an Italian dinner at Charlie Gitto’s on the Hill where I had a couple of their signature dishes and another famous food, toasted ravioli!
I went to city’s iconic Gateway Arch and rode the super unique trams up to the top! Then I enjoyed a (super popular and famous) hot salami sandwich before joining a really cool tour of the historic Anheuser-Busch Brewery.
Then it was time to watch the NJ Devils and St. Louis Blues play at Enterprise Center. NHL arena #14! I ended up sitting next to a lovely family from Bergen County!
After the game I went to a couple more bars, chatted with some cool people, and met up with those locals again for my final night in The Lou!
My first time in St. Louis was a lot of fun! Thank you so much! The following morning I was off to Chicago!
