Last night, I met up with a friend who moved to San Francisco and showed me around The Marina district. A nice hip neighborhood located at the edge of the bay where you’ll find many young professional hanging out. The streets are lined with lots of stores, resturants, and bars. We decided to do alittle bar hopping.
The first bar we stopped at was The Tipsy Pig on Chestnut Street. A rustic gastopub serving craft beer and American comfort food.
We have a couple drinks and a couple shots. I’m a vodka girl and usually order a Kettle and Club with lime. Keep it simple.
After The Tipsy Pig, we head to the Mauna Loa Club. A small vintage neighborhood bar with a juke box and pool table.
We make some new friends and get challenged to a game of pool.
We ended up playing a couple of games. I don’t even remember who won, but it sure was a lot of fun!
After lots of laughs and a good time at Mauna Loa, we briefly stopped at Bar None on Union Street. The popular dive bar that always feels like a college frat party. There were several games of beer pong going on in the back, plastic cups everywhere. We didn’t stick around long enough though.
So glad I met up with my friend and got to experience the nightlife of The Marina. Good times! I would like to try some restaurants here next time I’m in town.
