It was our last day in Athens before heading to Santorini. I had to admire the view of the Acropolis from our apartment’s balcony one last time before checking out.
It was pretty early, so restaurants were not open yet. We spotted Fresko Yogurt Bar down the street. Breakfast!
The tiny casual cafe serves smoothies and Greek yogurts with an array of locally sourced toppings, fruit preserves, and honey.
I tried the traditional Greek yogurt.
All the different toppings and fruit preserves looked so good.
We ended up getting one topped with walnuts & honey, and the other with peaches & honey.
I have to say, I wasn’t really expecting much from this little yogurt shop….but wow! The yogurt was so fresh and creamy, the honey was delicious, the peaches were perfectly sweet, and the walnuts added a great crunch. It was some amazing yogurt!
Be sure to stop by Fresko Yogurt Bar in you’re in town. It’s located between the Acropolis and Hadrian’s Gate on the long pedestrian road of Athens. Whether it’s for breakfast, a snack, or even dessert…it’s delicious!
