If you’re looking for a good breakfast spot in Memphis, many people will mention Brother’s Juniper’s. The casual award-winning restaurant is known for their fresh bread, biscuits, creative omelets, and comforting breakfast specialties.
It’s located in East Memphis, around a 15-mintue Uber ride from my Beale Street hotel.
The place looks like a house inside and out. It was homey and service was friendly. I was seated at the counter. The omelets sounded great. I had to try one of their most popular ones.
The San Diegan is a three egg open faced omelet topped with home fries, sour cream, sauteed portobellos, tomatoes, bacon, green onions, feta, and cheddar cheese. Nice!
All omelets are served with Cheese Grits and your choice of a biscuit or toast. The grits were wonderfully creamy and cheesy.
The omelet was enjoyable and very filling. The ingredients were fresh and tasty.
Breakfast at Brother Juniper’s was excellent. I honestly wished I had more room to try their other dishes like the Garden & Lamb omelet or Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. It all looked so good. I thought the ride out there was worth it.
