Off to Cleveland: Fahrenheit and Bar 32

It was Memorial Day Weekend, time to check out another new city and ballpark for the long holiday weekend! Off to Cleveland!

I caught my flight after work and arrived in Cleveland in the early evening. I stayed at the contemporary Hilton Cleveland Downtown located in the heart of downtown Cleveland near a number of restaurants, bars, and attractions. The hotel was wonderful and the staff was absolutely amazing.

I had just enough time to settle in, get ready, and head somewhere for dinner. I went to Fahrenheit which offers New American fare with some Asian undertones. I started off with a Strawberry Basil Lemonade martini and bread was served with butter and olive tapenade.

I decided to get the Kobe Beef Short Ribs. The generous short ribs were served on top of teriyaki lo mein noodles with bok choy, roasted mushrooms, ginger, and a soy-apple glaze. The beef was tender and I liked the noodles and mushrooms. The glaze was tasty, but a bit salty.

It was almost closing time when I finished my meal. No dessert tonight. I decided to head back to the hotel for a couple drinks at Bar 32 before calling it a night. Located on the 32nd floor of the Hilton Cleveland Downtown, the hotel bar offers cocktails, wine, beer, small plates, and lovely views of the city and Lake Erie.

My first night in Cleveland may have gone by quickly, but I couldn’t wait to see more of the city over the next few days.
