One of the best dishes I had during my time in Japan was the Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki at a random restaurant around the corner from my hotel.
The Hiroshima version of the savory pancake differs from the one I had in Kyoto because the ingredients are layered over the batter rather than mixed in with it, and a fried egg and yakisoba noodles are added to it.
I ordered the Meibutuyaki which had soba noodles, pork, egg, fried squid, and minced scallions on top. It was delicious!
The Hiroshima-style pancake was so good and filling.
After lunch, I walked around Hiroshima for a bit before I decided to take the train to the Miyajima ferry. I was already close, so I figured I might as well check out the island before going back to Osaka.
