Back to Golden Gai

After a fantastic omakase at Kurosaki, I decided to go back to Golden Gai! I thought the narrow alleys lined with tiny bars was so cool the first time that I knew I had to return for my final night in Japan. I took the super crowded train to Shinjuku. I met some nice travelers at the first bar I stopped by and they let me join them at a couple other bars. Kanpai!

I eventually ended up at a small bar where a few locals were watching and singing along to Japanese music videos, and then it was back to Kenzo’s Bar to say hi to Kenzo and enjoy one more drink with good company.

It was another great time at Golden Gai! It was a little after 4am and I was pretty wired, so I decided to go to Tsukiji Market for the famous sushi breakfast I’ve heard so much about! Besides, I didn’t have to head to the airport until later that afternoon. 😉
