Another day in LA, but today we were heading to Anaheim to see the Devils play at the Honda Center, arena 3 of 4 for our trip! I heard Blu Jam Cafe was a solid spot for all-day breakfast and the downtown location inside the Spring Arcade Building was nearby. When we arrived, there were a decent amount of people waiting to be seated. I gave my name and we waited for a bit.
Soooo hungry. How much longer? After around 45 minutes, we were seated at a table inside the main room. The larger room with the bar is where you want to be if you plan on ordering an alcoholic beverage. The other room may have a shorter wait if you don’t plan on drinking though. But I wanted a drink and tried the Guava Mimosa.
While waiting, we looked over the menu and knew what we wanted. We had to try their signature Crunchy French Toast. The brioche bread is dipped in their secret batter then rolled in crunchy corn flakes and grilled. It’s topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar and served with a vanilla bean sauce. Yummmmm.
My friend went with one of their specials, the Crab Scramble topped with avocado and served with grilled potatoes and toast. I had a bite and it was really good.
I ordered the Blu Jam Benedict – an English muffin topped with Black Forest ham, crispy bacon, poached eggs, and hollandaise. Sometimes you just want to stick to the classics and their benedict was great. It’s also served with a side of grilled potatoes.
Our breakfast at Blu Jam Cafe was excellent. I can see why it’s such a popular spot. Now that we had a nice hearty meal, it was time to get an Uber and head to Anaheim for the game!
